February Art Competition results, March Writing Competition Theme

Sorry I'm posting this so late. This month we've had great support from a lot of members, I'm going to ask again that you enter other competitions with as much enthusiasms as you have with this one, even if the theme is slightly harder.

A lot of great entries and it's been so hard to judge that we've had to settle the results, for the first time, with a draw!

This month's winners are Spiritofawolf and Iron Eyes. Congratulations both of you. In all honesty I'm not sure what Nanuak's planning to do with the draw situation but I presume that both of your entries are going to be displayed in the fader.

This now leads onto March's Writing Competition. This month we haven't so much given you a theme, more of a style which we think will be just as challenging as a specific theme. So, the style we want you to write in is first person. This does not come naturally to everyone so should help you creative writers try something new and hopefully improve your writing skills.

Daydreameroboes, of course it has to be CoAD related lol. What would be the point of having anything else on the official fansite for the CoAD books?

AtOneWithTheWolves, nothing to fear with entering first, but do remember that there's no point rushing it. You stand a better chance of winning if you take your time over it and make sure it's perfect before entering. Of course I'm not saying you can't enter tomorrow if you want to, just that you can spend more time if you want. Alternatively you could pot it up and ask people for suggestions and changes, then edit your post with the newer version.

Ooo, that's a good question. I suppose you can, ask Nigilynog. But I think that as long as its in first person and CoAD, you can do whatever you want.

Doesn't matter if you're human or animal, or anything else really. As long as it's first person and CoAD then it's fine. Would have said if I meant otherwise, but yeah, the whole point of these competitions is to be creative. Not sure if I'm looking for the same thing as the other judges but I just want to read something new that is completely unique and different to everyone elses.

And yes, the word limit is 1000, same as every competition. You also have to add a word count to the end of your entry.

Just the one entry sorry. The problem with the writing competitions is that they're generally more well entered than the art ones and each one takes longer to judge, unlike the art ones where you can see if it's good or not and then when we have a shortlist we can decide. That's the only reason why we only allow one entry. Just the lack of time to get through them all.

But you've just got free reign with it - apart from it has to be in first person.

So you can do anything CoADish you want in first person.
