New Monthly Art Competition!

See that banner at the top of the page? The one with the changing pictures. Well how would you like it if every time you logged onto The Clan a piece of your artwork was one of the images to come up?

The Clan is running a new monthly art competition where the best piece of CoAD related artwork is displayed at the top of every page for the following month. It can’t just be any CoAD art though! At the start of the month the theme will be set. It could be anything from Torak to a Soul Eater, the nanuak to a forest.

The competition is open to anyone who wants to enter and any type of art will do (digital, traditional, photography, etc.).

All of the entries will be judged by the Guardians

The first theme will be announced shortly. Good luck!

Yeah, that's the plan. I just need to talk to the others and come up with the first theme now. It should be up and running soon.

There'll be a different theme each month. I can't say what they will be but sometimes it will be characters, sometimes it won't.

I'm sure that there'll be some that you can do, and even if you don't think you can draw people give it a go. I'm sure every entry will be excellent!

To enter art into the competition you'll have to scan the picture into your computer and then using this (http://www.torak.info/forums/showthread.php?t=7157) post a thread into this forum. Make sure that in the subject of your post it says that it's for the contest so we know which ones we're judging.

It's most likely that it will, but it might start a bit earlier and you'll have a little longer. Depend on what the others say. Keep your eyes out for it.

Can anyone tell me what Toraks tatoo looks like and where about is it placed on his body?

His tatoo is 6 dots next to 6 dots (two lines of 6 dots) Inbetween is his small scar

Look at the cover image for Chapter Six. That's his tattoos. Except...you see the split in the middle of the marks? That's not part of the tattoo, he's got a scar there on the left side of his face.

Have you guys got a digital camera? You could always take a photo of the picture, and then upload it to your computer, if that's easier then sending it in through the post. :thumb:

Of course! If it's related to CoAD, you can put it in our CLAN ART section. If it's not related to Wolf Brother and its sequels, you can put it in Wanderer's Meet!

All of the themes in this competition will be related to the Chronicles Of Ancient Darkness, as this is a site to support the books. I'm afraid none of the themes will be to do with anything else :thumb:

You create your own thread and put it on there. You can use an attachemnet but I myself will probably use photobucket

Yes, just create a new thread in this subforum so we know it's for the competition, and have your picture in there. It's all you really need, perhaps a description if you like but it's not compulsory.

A number of people don't seem to have searched the forums much so I'll just post a link to this here as well. To upload a picture into your post this thread (http://www.torak.info/forums/showthread.php?t=7157) is an excellent, easy to use, guide. If you're going to use Photobucket then I'd probably resize it. You can do this on Photobucket by clicking on the picture you want to edit and select Resize -> Message Board (640x480). This will make your picture small enough to fit in the forum without it being too big to scroll across. I'd also keep a copy of the original sized picture on your computer so that if you win we can have a copy of the bigger file to do our thing to it.
